Not much done as I had a lot on this weekend, however got the old headers off that were blowing and put my spare set of Gruppe S ones on.

Old

New (Newer)

Then inspired by Neil (EMB) I fitted the washer bottle under the wheel arch as there is no room for it in the standard position.

Blue car update today, been up to Scoobyclinic as they had a STI10 (Hawkeye) 6 speed for me Thanks again to Kev and crew.

Have only just run it up the road at low boost but ratios seem so much better. Hopefully I will now be able to hold 4th gear on the drag strip. Will find out this Saturday with a trip to the pod.

Old box coming out

New box

Twin plate still ok

And new box going in

I now also have STI10 front shafts, much bigger and stronger, lets hope the rears hold out on Saturday.

Well tried the pod today to test my new Hawkeye box. Was hoping to get over the line in 4th and get low 10's but did not quite get there although set 2 new PB's

60fts let my down so I will have to get some drag radials sorted finally. The old D2G's are not cutting it.

I think with larger wheels tyres and a slightly increased rev limit I should make the line in 4th.

Anyway here's the vids of my 3 runs today

First 10.52 @ 137.28 60ft 1.80

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaxIwx4ZIMo

Next 10.53 @ 134.85 60ft 1.83

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNn4JKffC0o

And final run today 10.60 @ 136.98 60ft 1.73

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH3mRgjJmcg

Very consistent which is good, but more to come for sure.

Yeah, much quicker since TOTB last year now. Won't be there tomorrow as it's the wifes birthday. Should make round 2

The box must be helping as you could still not manage a 10 sec run at the Pod even after doing it at Elvington.

Only done one outing at Pod before today since Shootout, that was the cold day with no grip. However I think it is helping somewhat.

BTW, picked that item up from Paul today as well and paid him the dosh as you will be owing him a few quid soon

Don't suppose you can use the holes already or do they need to be filled?

Thanks,

Lots done today with both myself and Paul on the Type R

Started with the brakes, had these adapted to fit the Compbrake calipers

Paul worked on the rear brakes, off with the calipers for a clean and paint and fitted better discs I found in the stores

ARB done and I fitted front brakes

Couple of chaps round to fit the windscreen

Refitted all the trim

Wheels I refurbed now with rubber

Bit of underseal for the arches

I adjusted the coilovers to add a little height before the wheels went on to see how it sits. Then drivers seat a steering wheel fitted, then we started and drove it up and down the drive, it moves !!!

Little more done today. New uppipe gasket in as the one I had used was leaking

Sorted the wiring for the relocated washer bottle

Popped a battery on, still not enough room

Then messed with the coilovers as it was sitting too low for this rubber (225/45/17) After some experimenting it has enough clearance now

Lots of little bits to do but will get it MOT'd soon then off for map adjustment. Should only need a tweek as there are only very minor changes to the spec since this Power FC was mapped by Zen previously on Pauls old car.
