Well, call me boring but I bought a set of 4 Michellins .... that was 15000 miles ago and they have yet to show signs of real wear.
Thats a RESULT in my book, the originals lasted 11000 and all shagged out - CR4P!!
Its life or grip - I lost my grip and chose life ..... the scoobie costs loads anyway, reduce it if you can!!

Michelins certainly last forever but I don't rate their grip especially in the wet. In the dry they're probably as good as any. I presume that as with Goodyear and Bridgestone, their F1 involvement will help in the development of a better tyre.

For all round use I rate the Conti Sport Contact 2. Excellent in the wet, pretty good in the dry, very predictable. Wear rate is awesome, they have a wear rate of 280. Got 24,000 out of a set (swapped them with 3mm left). Don't know what they'd be like on a Scoob though.

get the falkens for slippy in the wet and not so good in the dry they will also increase your stopping distance
personaly i would not put them on a bmx if they fitted that is.
no i havent tried

Don't get S02's as they finished production a long while ago, so any you can find will be way past their sell by date ( i.e. rubber goes hard ). I've just got S03's and can' fault them cept that you can feel the tread squirm a bit on the back when new.

Goodyear F1's GS-D2 - very good tyre, maybe not the ultimate grip in the dry, but very predictable all the same. In the wet thy're very good indeed.
They're also quite a bit cheaper than the Bridgestones.

Eagle F1's! 16" on MY97
A mate got Toyos on the strength of the recommendations on this board and other places and is VERY disappointed with them on MY00 - Grooves seem to be very wide... Do they wear fast???
