They are a fantastic tyre pretty much no other tyre will give you the same steering feedback as these, one of the best dry gripping tyres out there (better than anything mentioned so far) pretty good in rain too but not brilliant on slightly greasy surfaces.

Forget the Goodyears etc, they are not the best even though people say they are (not a highly rated tyre as too much flex in them tbh) your option for a far better tyre is the vredstein ultrac sessanta, kicks the rest into touch if you dont want the RE070's

I'd never heard of vredstein ultrac sessanta before I purchased my Impreza which had them already on but since I have been using them I can't believe how well they grip.

Dry or wet they are fantastic.

I can't compare them with any other tyres for the Impreza but I will be getting these tyres next time out for sure.

I can recommend Michelin Pilot Sport for the wet. Strangely enough they are not the best tyre i've tried int he dry and the walls flex a lot, they feel almost squidgy but in the wet the grip is just unbelievable!!

If you're doing a sodding wet trackday and want to upset faster machinery go for the Michelins!!

They're also very good when its wet

However - when its just damp or greasy then be very aware of what you're doing - especially if the tyres are cool

I love the RE070's, but they're a bit difficult to get hold of - We'll they are where I'm from.

I found them quite noisy though

If you like 070's treat yorself to a set of R888's for the summer...

They might last 6000 miles if you are lucky, but the dry grip is astonishing. They DON'T like standing water tho'.

IMHO
