OK, few questions about the wheels on MY01 cars.
1: will it fit a MY94 WRX Wagon (pretty sure the answer is yes)
2: What size tyre does it need, NOTE this will be on a MY94 car and I believe you have to have slightly different tyre size than you would on a MY01 car (why?)
3: will the AP Racing 4-pot kit fit under the MY01 wheel? (guessing yes as it's designed for 16 inch wheels)
4: Will the AP Racing *6-pot* kit fit under the MY01 wheels? (would I need uprated suspension to counter for the extra weight of the 6-pots?)
5: Where can I get a cheap set of MY01 wheels?
6: would I need new wheel nuts, including my locking wheelnuts, for the MY01 wheels or can I use the existing ones?
thanks, anything else I need to know about putting MY01 wheels on a MY94 WRX Wagon?
Just to keep you in the picture (or bore you!) it looks like the AP 4-pots might not clear my 16 inch wheels, so I'm considering 17 inch wheels and I like the MY01 design, hence the questions.

A few answers;
Yes, the wheels will fit, but the tyres are an issue.
You are correct. The MY01 runs a 215/45 tyre which is too large both in terms of rolling radius and width to fit the old shape car. You will need to replace the tyres with the Subaru recommended 205/45 size, although some people claim to have suceeded in getting away with 215/40.
Yes
Yes. The thread about problems with 6 pots is about them on the MY01 struts and not related to the wheels (which are the 18" UK300 ones anyway).
Two alternatives, either buy them from an MY01 owner that has upgraded or from a Subaru dealer who is trying to get rid of a set of the gold wheels that were fitted to the UK300 when they were imported (before the 18" wheels were added). If you want to do this, drop me a line.
If your wheel nuts are the standard Subaru ones then they'll fit, but yours may not be as you already have non-standard wheels.
Hope that helps.

Markus,
The higher the rolling radius the further out the speedo will read.
I recall something about 6mph differance(????)
205/45 and 215/40 have a simalar rolling radius, Bridgestone, Goodyear make 215/40's but not 205/45's so people tend to go for the 215's.
Iain.
MY96 running MY01 wheels with 215/40's with no problems after 4 months!!!!!!
