Quick question about Hi Spec Motorsport Conversion

Default Quick question about Hi Spec Motorsport Conversion

My local breakers have just had a RB5 come in and it has a 6 pot big brake conversion (hi spec motorsport),i need to find out will they fit my01?

Also how much should i pay?

why dont you phone hispec - they're in dartford....

I rang them but the guy said i would have to measure the clearance etc.

So i thought id ask some one here maybe they might be able to help.

Hi

Do a search on Hispec brakes, there are quite a few comments about them, you will be surprised!!

The front brakes are a straight swap.
I've got Hi-Spec 6 pots and they're ok. Others have had problems. Quality control seems to be lacking.

If they are cheap and you approach with your eyes open then you could end up with a good buy.

Don't DO Hi-Spec...you will regret it...do a search and you will see why...


Bought the 6pots...ended giving them away...went to HI-Spec about 4 times, also have to get my wheels refurd due to fluid leak..!



ps: i wouldnt pay a tenner for them...

The Lo specs on that car are probably the reason its in the breakers yard !

Mate, what breakers yard is the RB5 in? (not after the breaks or anyhting but got a RB5 myself and need a wing mirror)

Thanks for the info but as I said I`m not after the brakes, I`ve got a set of prodrive bad boys I`m more than happy with and wouldn`t touch that "other" comapny with a barge pole!
