It depends how wide the rims are i think. Are they 8 or 8.5 inch wide rims.I would go for the wider tyre to protect the rim from kerb damage.

I run 215 40 18s on OZ WRC-1's and they fit nice and square on the rim and look just right.

I think the 225 35 18s look just a bit too low profile. Not that much in it though.

Toyo T1s 225/35/18 rub on my rear arches on my non lowered MY98 when i have people in the rear...Also there is more road noise

SO will be going back to 215/35/18 very soon...

215 35 18?

Surely you mean 215 40 18 ? Which is closer. I agree that the 225s rub on bumps though. Daz

The back is ok...theres not too much of a gap between the arch and the tyre..thought the front anoys the helll out of me..

Depending on where have parked..it does sit quite high up..though this seems to be quite common on Subaru's higher fronts then the back..

Sell the two you have got on ebay and buy four 215 40 18's in my opinion (a bit fussy on stuff like this) they fill the arches that bit better but still look low profile. Mines not lowered either and it looks right. 215 35 18's give the incorrect rolling radius.

215/40/17 I think!!

Which would give you 215/35/18 for wheels up to a width of 8.5

Yep, or 205 50 16's as on a classic which gives the 225 35 18's a closer rolling radius than my 215 40 18's
I stand corrected. They will still look too low profile and gappy for my liking though! Maybe its just personal opinion. I mailed you some pics of mine so let me know what you think. I dont know how to post them, but you can if you want to. Daz
