Question

Still available? Tyre shops are closed so can't check.

Some TW@T left a Budweiser bottle in the road which I had no choice but to squash. As a result I have two cuts in my sidewall but not down to carcass.

Do people just change two tyres at a time or all four?

Do you think the tyre may be ok? Will still take to a tyre fitters anyway just to make sure.

TA.

No it is GSD3's these days!
I tend to change all four at once but only after i have swapped them from front to back for maximum wear out of all of them.
They could be ok but i would always tend to stay safe and replace them, after all they are the one thing that stops you from hitting brick walls and such!
Hope that helps
Stuart

Cheers chaps. Will be going along to my Tire centre on Monday. Hopefully Gdyear will have some stock left. And I always now stick to the same all round. Had some interesting handling when I didn't do that on the old GSI.

Went along to my usual friendly tyre fitters and had my tyres checked.

Booger, front two are shot on the inside edge, I missed it and the dealer missed it, recent service done. Backs are approaching legal depth so four new GSD2's on order.

Just had some brand new GS-D2's fitted (205-50-16) so there are some still around. £98 a corner, fully fitted, balanced, etc. No doubt I could have saved a £5 a corner elsewhere but I was down to the wear indicators and was getting a disconcerting vibration....

Today bought four F1 GSD3s (205/50 ZR16) from Bathwick tyres in Taunton, when I pitched up they had incorrectly got in GSD2s; but after a quick phonecall the required GSD3s arrived within half an hour from their depot, cost just under £90 each including VAT/valves/balance so not too bad.
