Are these gs-d2 tyres any good,i know the d3 is out but is there much differance apart from price £3oo inc for 2's and £360 inc for 3's.The car's a my98 turbo running on 205-50-16 and used as a daily car plus the odd blast at warp speed...

People will probably agree that the 2's have slightly harder side walls and give a much better ride than the 3's. I've had both on a pug gti and if it was my choice I'd get the 2's

Mike,
I too have had both, certainly your wife, (sorry, can't remember her name) would not be able to tell the difference, and seeing as the 2's are that much cheaper, I'd go for them, as said, the 3's have a softer sidewall which takes some getting used to, but I think ultimately the 3's would win on track, get the 2's, that way you'll never know what the 3's are like!!!

Everybody seems to think the GSD3 has a softer side-wall. NO NO NO!!!!!!

The GSD3 has a significantly stiffer sidewall than GSD2.......

All fitted, need it to p**s down now to find out grip level's in the wet!!! Noticed a much sharper response to steering allready.
