I am having serious problems with Tramlining on MY 99 running on Bridgestone Potenza RE011's also the tyre walls are very very hard which saves the rim from buckles but it feels like the car is running on rollers. I had a TT with SO 2's and found them excellent, much better than the F1s I had on my A4 especially in the wet!! So I guess my question is are SO 2's that nuch better than RE011's. By the way the Camber is out on 1 of the back wheels, probably due to upgrading from 16's to 17's.
Im getting this sorted next weekend Ill let you know if it helps.

The RE011's are crap, but, I normally run with 32front, and 30rear, try that!

I don't think you can get SO2's anymore but don't buy the replacement SO3's as they tramline really bad ,i ditched mine in favour of goodyear geo3 and they don't tramline at all

Cool

It's simple:
SO2's are (were) wonderful
SO3's are not
Toyo's are neeeeeeeeerly as good as SO2's in the wet, bit worst in the dry, but are 60% of the cost. I hill climb my Sti on Toyos, 205x50 16 with Fr & Rr's set at 35 psi rain or shine. great, but not as great as SO2's. Why did Bridgestone make such a ****-up?
Graham.
