on a my99 uk turbo 2000...

Im getting a pair of 17" rims 7x17, and most of the guys offer a 205/40-17 tyre with the package. Suspension is standard, so what offset should the rims be, geometry shouldnt be effected should it.

And i will be thinking of lowering the car later on using the eibachs on sale at scoobyshop (30mm drops)..... this hasnt got anything to do with offsets has it ????? just geometry.... correct me if im wrong.

most ppl go for 215/40s dont they??? something to do with more choice

i had a look on http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html and i will only be out by 1.5mph at 60mph with the 205/40s, or is it a wear n tear issue that i should be concerned with.

most scooby offsets are between 48 and 52mm..!!

The wheel supplier will know this when you tell them what wheels your after..

As had been stated, the correct offset is between 48 and 52mm, 45mm is going to be seriously out and you will be throwing your money away fitting/buying these.

Thumbs up

PPP,
The Kosei's will fit !, 45 is the min offset you can go down to, there is a guy on here with them on his Wagon, I looked at these wheels however and wasn't that impressed with their finish. I've gone for Miglia Evo 5's (48 offset).
