Default help please idle probs

impreza uk 97 turbo when i pull up anywhere like lights home etc etc ive got a erratic idle ive changed the idle control valve and the maf it ticks over when first started about 800 rpm fine then when i drive it for about 5 mins it rises to 1100rpm and down to 6-700rpm running standard recirc dump valve any help will be apprieciated cheers kev

Id say Maf, how do you know the maf you used as a replacement isnt knackered...........

Have u checked you fault codes

Idle air control valve Remove and clean with brake cleaner
MAf should be checked with 1 off a working
after both done reset ecu faults

checked fault codes no codes tried different iacv no changeand tried diff maf thinkin of just leaving it as im havin a closed deck fitted
