Hi Dougie, took the headers off today to cure a leak, noticed there was a lot of play in the engine mounts when we got the car running again, they look worn too.
Engines rocking a bit on idle, so it's time to put some harder STI's on.

No more after the drop links!!

BTTT
Engines rocking a bit on idle
Odd. Should be pretty smooth. Sure it's not an idle problem instead of mounts? Don't remember it being like that before.

Thumbs up

Hi Alan,

You can feel it on gear change and when using the gears to slow the car down too, the engine definately is not as steady as it should be.
The idle is smooth enough, although it needs a small re-map to sort out the alternating revs between 800 and 1200.
This was no fault of the mapper though, it's just something I had to change which has now changed the idle if that makes sence?

I've found a company in the US who will deliver new STI engine mounts for £70 so I think i'm sorted for these now

Cheers Alan, placing an order with Gruppe S for the engine mounts and gaskets.

Possibly sourced some Whiteline front and rear drop links but if anyone has any I may still be interested
