Hi - newbie with a classic wagon
Hi guys and girls
Just bought my first subaru. Its a T reg turbo 2000 wagon in green.
As a newbie to subaru ownership and a women I may need some advise in the near future about the mods that are on it as no idea whats standard or not on the classics.
Not sure if its a known car within south wales scooby's club as it has SIDC and South wales scooby's stickers on it. Picked it up from brecon yesterday. Would appreciate any info on it if you know the car.

Yep I got it from Roy Hattons
I know its not standard but no idea what has been done all together other than what I can visually see but then my knowledge of a subaru engine is very limited.
Already put a smile on my face when I tested it out on the A470 by merthyr on the way home. Was shocked when I heard the noise that rally cars make (ignore my Ignorance on this), not a dump valve woosh more of a turbo chatter noise as roy hatton said it was standard apart from the intercooler.

Thanks for the welcome guys
I'll try and get a tidy a pic of the engine bay when it stops raining
I think the intercooler is bigger than a stardard turbo 2000 one and has blue silicone pipes coming from it. There is also a blanking plate where the dump valve should be apart from that I have no idea what has been added or modified.

Hi Mate and welcome, the blanking plate and no D/V explains your chatter sound..

Ah thought that may have been whats causing the chatter. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing as no idea what its doing to my turbo.
Already looking for new alloys and may need to upgrade the brakes as they are not very good.
May try and pop along to a meet, never been to one before and being a girl its a little bit scary.

Welcome. This is the place to ask any questions, the people on here are really helpful.
Hopefully you shouldn't be the only girl in the next meet as I'm hoping to have the time to go to the next one. Be nice to see another scooby owning girl there .

Please don't feel intimidated as we are a friendly bunch and can give you good advice on any planned upgrades and the best places for parts/fitment and prices.
