Last night about 7.45pm I was walking my dog along the Taff Trail in front of my house. On the opposite bank were two young boys firing an air rifle towards the bank I was on. The Taff Trail is very busy with walkers, mountain bikers and runners etc.

When I ask the lads what they are firing at I was met with loads of verbal and hand gestures. They then continued to fire towards me.

Now the river bank is supported by large granite boulders and my concern was the pellets ricocheting up the bank and into innocent passers by (as you know I know a thing or two about rifles). So I log their descriptions and telephone the non-emergency line to the Police. They take my details and say because of the potential hazard they'll get the boys in blue around soonest. I then watch the youth move off into the tree with loads of waving to me (I think they where waving?).

9.15pm The they turn up and it's a little late.................................

Why, oh why, do I bother!
