Chuffing great, lifes decided to play its irony card!
Meet girl when shes attached
She becomes single and gets her career going
Gets a contract (which I'm over the moon about, cos it means I'll get some paid work out of her)
Now for the ironic bit
If she and the rest of the band sign said contract she'll be moving to the states.
What a way to cap off a crap weekend

That interpretation is just as valid as course, only we can't be seen to be recommending things like that to all the impressionable and dim would-be a$$ rapers on scoobynet. 
My advice stands though. If she signs it her contract is worth more to her than our teen angst ridden thread starter so 'pump' her for what you can get and wish her a bon voyage!
