Dismantle the front suspension to remove drive shafts, exhaust off, remove gearbox, clutch, flywheel. Replace seal. Re-assembly is reverse of removal, as they say
Took me 7 hours, 2 burly assistants at the crucial lifting time, and copious cups of coffee.
Taking the engine out is actually the more relaxed route and could be done in about the same time.
If you get it done for less than £250 would be surprised. Think about having the clutch replaced at the same time to save agony in the future.

hi m8,
i done a clutch change the day before the monmouthshire run, not to bad at all.
in fact it was that much easier than i thought, that i would be willing to give a fellow subaru owner a hand if you want.
