Any of you guys locally had your BB upgraded yet ?

As far as I am aware Kev it is a free upgrade, it looks like a case of keeping up with the opposition.

See if this link works Kev,

http://www.bt.com/broadband/news/faq.html

Just check out the BT home page it has info on there regarding the upgrades.

How do they notify you when they are going to upgrade or did you have to chase them ?? info seems a little sketchy at the moment and I have not been able to figure out whats happening ?

I got a letter back in feb.... saying that between March and October (i think) BT will upgrade where they can.........

I cam home one day, switched on the PC and noticed that the connection speed (2 tv's in the taskbar) was showing 2.2Mbps

I beleive the trade off is..........

* a reduction in the cap limit from 30Gb to 15Gb

* a reduction in the monthly charge

....... for an increase in speed...

Your ISP will charge you more for 2mb than for your current service, not much extra though £5 a month

Hi Tony... I'm keeping great here and you ?

The car is going really well, just doing a few small jobs on it and it's coming on nicely Half way through colour coding and as you can see below the rear spats still need doing, I could not remove the dam things lol so they will be sprayed when the car goes on for some marks on the front bumper to be touched up.
I have a set of H&R springs on order so a trip to Powerstation is on the cards shortly for that little job as well.

Hey Tony there is another option you could consider, spend some money on your P1 ? de cat, re-map, Defi Gauges, front mounted intercooler.... the list goes on !!! at least that way you will be getting a new car from the old one that you are familiar with... from what I can make out running a 22B is an expensive operation especially as a daily runner ??

There are a few other meets planned one in Tintern later this month, 24th I believe... not familiar with the details on that as yet and then in July there is a southern big meet on the way to Reading that should be a good one.

Cheers
Simon

That's what I like to see existing customers getting the best deal and not new customers having it given them for free

I guess it's sit tight and wait for the postman to deliver the letter then !!

free upgrade from 1 meg to 2meg but if it cant' be done due to distance from exchange being out of limits or cable limitations then you should recieve a reduction in your bill because anyone on 500k will be upgraded to 1meg free.bt should notify you by email if you are with bt/yahoo. powerman
