Hi All,
Been scrolling through this forum for a while and recently ditched my punto and bought an impreza, glad to see so many people on here from wales!
Went for a 2.0l RX instead of the WRX model due to the spike in insurance and it's immense thirst for petrol! Hiked all the way to chesterfield to nab this beaut, fell in love with it as soon as I got behind the wheel, had bit of a shock jumping from a 1.4 to a 2.0 but the 4 hour journey back broke me in!
I am hoping to start modding it soon, but being a bit of a noob at car diy I'm gonna take baby steps and start with swapping out the cassette radio, I am open to any suggestions and tips you wise welshmen may have.
Looking forward to the response,
Josh

Hello and welcome,
Nice looking car you have there - just a word of warning though Hawkeyes can use oil so make sure you've got some top up - I have a 2006 Sport R wagon and I enjoy it.
Think about getting some front 4 piston calipers and some decent pads as the standard stuff is woeful - I got some WRX PRO calipers and Mintex 1155 pads on mine and it's much better.
I've just fitted a Prodrive CAT back exhaust system and am having some problems with contact between the rear box flange and a bolt on the propshaft cover and its rattling like a loose heat shield !!!!
Any advise needed you can ask here or PM me.
Andy

Ah cool, cheers for the headsup on the oil, i'll stock up as soon as payday comes around! Think the garage I got it from changed the pads, they are probably cost effective ones so nothing fancy but may look into an upgrade. The calipers are looking a bit rusty and i'm guessing they're stock so ill probably look into getting some new ones, one thing at a time though eh?

I'm from Swansea way, few decent garages round me and I'be heard about this performance car garage in gorseinon, heard they were a bit sketchy tho. From what I've seen, you guys seem to swear by three arches, is that in Cardiff? If so might be worth the trip with the rep it's got!
