Default Toyosport Exhaust for 2000 Turbo UK Classic - Does It Fit

HI All,

In a bit of sticky and tricky situation here.

So my friend has a classic impreza and he purchased this exhaust system listed on ebay. (see link below).

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005372420...000%26_rdc%3D1

I liked the sound of it so much, I wanted to buy one for myself, however the listing says for a 2001-2006 subaru impreza, but if you click on there description, it says Subaru impreza classic wrx/sti etc.

So its got me thinking, I have emailed them and all they can say, is what ever is listed on the add is all the information given.

Also, this exhaust fitment is exactly the same fitment I have on my classic 2000 impreza.

A few fellow Scooby members have told me the piping would be to long?

So my question is has anyone ever fitted this on to a classic?

Please help!

Regards

Toyosport not great quality, its OK. trying to get info out of the UK distributor like trying to get blood out of a stone, they only care about sales and will tell you what you want to hear.

Uk operation is mickey mouse at best.

Funny enough I have a toyo system in the box here, but it's not the jap system. It was listed for a classic. All the cheap jap Style systems sound the same to me. So just buy a cheap one or 2nd hand decent one. I removed my cheap jap system just over a year after buying it. As the cabin drone was doing my head in and neighbours complaining.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

So today i received my exhaust today from toyosport. I thought i would go ahead and find out for my self if it fits. I looked at it, and the exhaust bent and mounts look exactly the same. The box is self is a little smaller than my HKS.

Correct me if im wrong. Are the classic and bugeye mounts exactly the same?

Yes I think so. I fitted a newage system that said it would fit both classic and newage. Only thing that did not line up was the gear box mount.

That's good if the mounts are the same. If you click on the link to eBay on the first thread that's the exhaust I bought for my classic. It says for classic/new age 2001 2006, the mounts look to be in the correct place apart from the hook at the back of the rear section.

If anything I'm pretty sure I can get someone to hear it up and bend it? I'm only changing the back box and the piping is exactly the same. Let's hope the exhaust doesn't stick out to much.

Just noticed its a cat back system, in that case it should be shorter if its for a newage, as the newage down pipes are longer. So if it is for a newage which it looks like it might be, you will need a newage down pipe aswell.
