WHITELINE FRONT ARB UPGRADE?
Just about to go down the handling improvement route, Ive been donated what i think is a whiteline rear ARB, its 22mm with yellow bushes but its been hand painted silver and the links are steel rods instead of the large plastic U shape jobby's that ive got on my 06 wrx (are there any numbers stamped into them if i sand all the paint off?), if it turns out it does'nt fit i'll go and buy one, iv'e also got whiteline "flatout" springs, then i'm off to powerstation for a geometry set up, the thing i want to know is have you had a uprated front ARB fitted and does it really improve things?

I read somewhere here that Nolan top strut mounts, enabling the caster to be adjusted make a big difference to the front end. Lots of folk have anti lift kit fitted. May be you can confirm with power station?

Hi 401,
My version...
1. Fitted Whiteline an adjustable rear bar, transformed the car, best value mod on my car.
2.ALK and front ARB fitted, calmed down the oversteer (see above) and increased the grip all round to 11 from 10.
3. Geometry reset, icing on the cake, lots of -ve camber and better again.

No ! not as a priority... I waited about six months, but the rear bar TRANSFORMS the car's handling, the expensive front end up-grade just adds more total grip, but at a fairly great expense.
Some people are suggesting adjustable top mounts for the front, as you can add castor, which adds camber as you turn into corners.

Camber bolts are £25 at Camskill ! Have an eccentric centre section that mis-aligns the strut to the hub to get more negative camber, you can fit two per side if necessary...

P.S. NEWAGE - REAR BAR = 22mm for a clumsy driver, 24mm for a smooth circuit style. imho

hi all..i've got a cupboard of bits to go on my96 classic wagon just waiting for money to splash out on the main part ie. the suspension kit...tein, bc, other....i'm not sure which route to go on this..
the list so far
24mm rear whiteline ARB (22mm Front coming)
whiteline wire drop links
strut
ALK
I'm not totally familiar with the underside of my car but it was mentioned that when fitting the rear antiroll bar it may be best to replace a component of which I don't know the name of that is attached directly to the arb because it may put the said component under heavy strain..Hope someone can understand that statement and unravel it for me with answers. Thanks
