Default Lowering springs and shocks on 2009 hatch STi help

Hi all,

I want to lower my 2009 hatch STi. As I've had good results in the past I was planning on going with tried and tested Eibach springs. I think I have found the part number for the correct kit (e10-77-009-01-22). But looking on the specs it states it lowers the front 20mm and the rear 5mm... That seems like a very odd drop to me.
Can anyone confirm these will fit my car and any pictures what it looks like once fitted and settled please?

Also, the front shocks looks a bit tired to me. It still has the original inverted style shock and I'd ideally like to change these if possible. One still has the sticker on it with part number 20310FG500. I believe this means the left side shock should be 20310FG510. (show as a 2008 car on some searches)
My preference is KYB if I can find them. But the catalogue does not list any shocks for my car. Are there any other options out there?

I would like to avoid coilovers if possible.

Many thanks,
Rob

imparts46 (the Subaru importer in UK) sell the front shocks for £160 each, alternatively Adgespeed have replacements from delivery mileage vehicles that have been converted to rally cars.

Awesome. thank you. that is a great help! I just manged to find the up to date catalogue but KYB do not list front shocks as I suspected
http://www.kyb.co.th/webcms/contentf...8KAP%29pdf.pdf

As I am planning on fitting springs I think I’ll replace the rears while there.

I just need to see how it sits on the Eibach springs now..

Eibach springs are crap on them, far too soft. Go with H&R, far better setup.

That would be good, thank you. My only issue with Whiteline is the roll bars lose their paint and go rusty quite quickly. I'd hope the springs don't do the same.

I don't want crazy low. 25mm front and rear would be about spot on I think.

If you go to the H&R website they state 1inch (25mm) lowering front and rear.

Thanks, Looks good. I'm Slightly jealous of the Prodrive GT1s. I had them on my hawkeye wagon and loved those wheels… I’m considering the 330s Wheels as the car came with the STi Enkei 10 spoke wheels. (gold on silver car). I can’t decide if I like it or not. I have also considered a set of CS400 wheels but they are just the Team Dynamics pro race really

They actually are Team Dynamics pro race 1.3 18x8.5 but without the Team Dynamics markings. The most important part is that they are et42 - compared to et53-55 for all standard subaru sti wheels so the CS400 wheels sit perfect in the arches - no need for spacers

The forged BBS wheels that where optional on the Hatch STI are the lightest wheel but they are et53

If you mean the multi spoke ones I am pretty sure they are ET55 unfortunately (I'd have bought a set if they were ET53).
They are great wheels regardless.

It won't make much (or any noticeable) difference, I agree but the OEM offset in mine is ET53 and would like to keep it the same.
