For sale is my subaru legacy twinscroll, 5 speed manual, this car is a Japanese import and I am the first UK owner.
I bought the car last year and after 5 months the cambelt snapped, after a legal dispute with the company I bought the car from they finally agreed to replace the engine for me.
The car has been to a subaru specialist and a low mileage engine 68000km (42,000 miles) was put in the car. I have paperwork for all the work done and the replacement engine including confirmation of mileage.
Whilst the engine was out a brand new subaru clutch kit was fitted as the old one was starting to wear, the engine was also serviced and a new cambelt fitted.
The car has been road tested, drives great, has a brand new MOT on it and is all ready to go.
In my ownership I had the car professionally undersealed at a cost of £450 and I have loads of photos of this.
Unfortunately I have to sell this car to pay off the money I owe for my share of the works and legal fees so I have to keep my much cheaper impreza (could be worse I guess).
The car isn't insured or taxed at the minute, however for any serious buyers who wish to test drive I am more than happy to insure and tax to enable test drives.
I'm happy to answer any questions, send videos, do a virtual walkround etc etc. The car is located in Bridgend, South Wales.
The speedo, odometer etc. has been changed to display in miles, I have a certificate showing the km to mileage conversion.
The bodywork is in very good condition, there's a small scuff on the bottom of the front bumper and a stone chip on the front bumper (you can see these in the photos), otherwise it is in very good condition.
The car is fitted with factory kakimoto exhasut which looks great and has a nice sound without being ridiculous.
The car also has factory SI drive, this means you can switch the car to economy mode for motorway cruises (for extra mpg), sport mode which is when you want to give it some beans... and then.... there's SPORT # mode..... this is where the full potential is unleashed and the car goes like the clappers. It's good to be able to switch through these modes so you can save mileage when you want and then with the flick of a switch wave goodbye to the rapidly dissapearing cars in the rear view mirror. MPG isn't exactly toyota prius levels but it's noticeably better than an impreza wrx despite having more power.
Price is £7750, since getting the car back I have been running the engine up to temperature once a week and have been moving it on private land to give the brakes a work out etc. It's strated up great on the button every time and brakes are all good. it's a shame to sell it really as I had to pay for the clutch kit and new cambelt but I've had a financially quite difficult year and so I need to sell the car which is worth the most money.
I only bought the impreza as the company i bought the legacy off were saying they were going to fight me all the way to court and I thought it might be broken on my drive for a long time, as soon as they got the actual court summons through though they fixed it straight away so wish i had waited.
There's two other manuals on ebay now but were none when I looked before putting my advert up. I'm hoping it's a good selling point becuase manual's are way more fun in my opinion.
