jesus when will they stop no one can touch them they must be contenders for the title which palace got a chairman like them but they could still only manage 2-1 win over us if we play like that all season (the comittment)we will be up there this year

why is it that chelsea are so hated all of a sudden?

just because we have money to spend on players, or because many other teams dont have £££s(Man U excepted probably)...time will tell whether we will have success, i cant wait for the season to start (like every august) but will make no predictions...

one thing that has been lost in all the noise is what a great loss zola will be...imho one of the best foreign imports in the game

Neil...quite right...don't care what anyone else thinks 'bout us. Do care that Franco isn't there . He was a true star, and is a great loss to the premiership. Hopefully we'll see him again soon .

I don't think you are Neil. All I said was the team may go from good to a bit of a mixture - so many new players in so many positions, in such a short time.

Incidentally, we've got money to spend too. Arsenal and possibly Liverpool seem to be the really skint ones.

Whatever makes you think that? I've no allegiance with either Hartlepool Utd or the Town itself. Granted I was there last Friday, but that was in a Toon supporting capacity! We won 6-0.

We have signed another player in Adrian Mutu from Parma, wanted by some of the top clubs in Europe, scored 17 goals in Serie A which is a difficult task! He has been compared to Henry from Arsenal and of course at 24 and a nice 5 yr contract, we are going to win something big

BTW I hope we are the most hated club in the Premiership!

Glad I'm not the only one to notice that .

Jeez, I don't know. This summer has been crazy. I'm away from any sports news for a few hours and miss the (possible) signing on another player. Its inevitable that we'll become a much greater target both by the opposition team who want to put one over us, and the opposition fans who are unlikely to come clean and admit they'd love to have someone mad enough to put that sort of money into their club.
