i had my clifford 600 done to my car and just wondering about the blackjax system, its on i know cause i have to enter a code everytime i open a door but can the blackjax work if your car is sationary or does it have to move abit, too scared to test it as i live near mains roads so not ideal, tried testing it stationary and moved abit but car didnt cut out??after the doors shut does it have to be driven a while?? is it time before it kicks in or travel distances??
thanx mate,

Once you've started the engine, BJ is waiting patiently for the code, but once it sees the first brake-press, it gives you a grace period of 20 seconds to enter the code, after which it will then give five chirps and indicator flashes - and the brake lights start flashing as a warning to traffic to the rear - and a further 20 seconds grace period, after which if the correct code still has not been entered it will cut the engine and enter the 'BlackJax' state. This sequence of events will also happen if while the engine is running, blackjax sees a door open, as it has to assume you may no longer be behind the wheel.

I take it your installer didn't take the time to perform a very good handover procedure with you which then makes reading the manual much easier?
