Would there be any interest in a having a professional motorsports photographer at the next Kames event. I realise that people go along and take the odd pic and then post them up, but this invariably leads to posts of 'did you get any of me ?'
Copies of these would of course not be free !!

John,
Good idea inprinciple bud.
Something that puzzles me though is how do u distinguish who is a
?
Is he the guy with the fluke shots or the one with the most hardware strapped around their neck ? He who say`s he is ? What ? Sayin that I wouldn`t be able to distinguish between a pro pic and a happy snapper pic anyway, how many could ? (doh)
Jus checked a few pro sites n hmmmm... whats the difference ? Apart from £ to order them as opposed to free to download (providing copyright left in tact). Obviously it`d b wasted on me m8 cos
1/ I can`t tell the difference
2/ I don`t do Kames

Kames dosn't use up too much petrol either! Still had well over half a tank after 100+ laps!

Not interested personally John, I'm happy to give my camera to someone else to take pictures of me and happy to take photos of anyone else (as long as they let me know they want them taken in advance)
Like the majority I find it difficult to tell a pros photo from an plebs attempt, especially for on the spot action shots. It's a different story for properly setup shots where the pro can adjust the location and lighting, making the most of the subject matter, but on track that's not really an option.

Just to clarify, I'm not a photographer, was just going to organise it for the next event as an extra facility, if anyone thought it was something they would take up.
Saying that, they would need to get some really 'Slow' film in for you lot
Pete, you distinguish ' Who is a ...' By the fact that they are the official photographer at most motorsports event in Scotland and the North of England.

Yeah only me and Iain ventured on then IIRC
I needed some wet weather running as it's always been dry when i've been on track, even at Knockhill

Tee Hee what a laugh. I think u r right Pete it is a fluke to get the correct photo. I know of a guy who makes a living from photos and a couple of years ago at the touring cars at Knockhill he shot 40 yes 40 films. Work that out for pictures.
I do not have much luck.......
Good luck John.
No more cats among the pigeons.
