Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to source these items, STD will do fine.

Cheers

Std will prob cost more. Falkland sell Mintex 1155 for about £90 (price went up recently). They can be hard on OEM discs. I reckon for performance and price these are pretty good overall.

Same for Black Diamond discs - drilled or grooved or both from £130 a pair. Bit cheaper than Subaru ones, but you can punish them and they don't seem to warp.

If you want a really worthwhile performance improvement consider braided lines and DOT 5.1 as well - almost halves the pedal travel.

Cool

Garry,

Give Scott @ AWD a phone i`m sure he was doin pads n that at reasonable prices the last time i was up there. And they were available ex stock.

Yeah i`d second that bout the stainless hoses, sure that was 1 of the first things i did way back @ the start. I also had good results with Black Diamond cross drilled rotors and EBC pads.
Was quite cost effective 2.

Thanks gents appreciate the advice.

I really dont have any gripes about the std setup, its only that my rear pads are close to requiring replacement and with an impending visit to Knockhill thought I better change.

Cheers

Gary

I have just fitted 20 groove discs to my MY99.Got them from 3G brakes http://www.3gbrakes.co.uk at a very reasonable price. They work well with mintex 1155/1166 pads.

Cross-drilled discs have a tendency to crack, so not recommended for hard track day use.

Hope this helps m8.

Teknodaddy

Is a well known fact that cross-drilled discs are prone to cracking.Mine started off with wee cracks round the countersunk holes that progressed into 2 big cracks right across the surface

I suggest you try a bit harder....
