Novice Only Track Night at Knockhill
Knockhill have got a track night for novice drivers only on Tuesday 11th May 6pm-8pm, cost is £50 and it's the perfect opportunity for those that have done the track day school but have not done a proper track day yet, or for those who have never driven on track at all.
Contact Knockhill asap on the usual number, or via http://www.knockhill.com to get booked up, as places are going quickly.
Ideal for spouses/partners/friends etc who have always wanted to do a track event, but have been a bit worried about joining in on a day full of experienced people.

Quite interested in this but have not done the trackday school course before and it says this is for graduates of this. I have been on the track before with an instructor from Toyota in a Celica T-Sport and in various cars PAX lapping.
Is it still viable or should I do the school first!??
One other question - what is the insurance situation with KH and taking your car on - do they offer track insurance?!

The cost is £55 which is pretty good but the cars are not insured on the track?!?
Should be good though.

One other bit of advice to that given above: keep an eye out for the other cars around you, and make sure you know where you're going to go if they decide to have an off near you. Shouldn't be too much of a problem on a novice night, but on a full track day, there's a real mix of abilities (and incapabilities ) and the occasional nutter. Easy to keep safe if you're alert and aware of what's around you.
