Sigma fob battery change?
I have the Sigma M30 alarm with the black/blue Subaru
badged fob and want to change the batteries in the fob.
If I change the batteries do I need to recode the fob or
not? I have looked through the alarm manual and there
is nothing in there to say either way.

You probably just have to change the battery quickly. Pop the fob open and get the new battery in there pronto.
Sometimes on keys you get about 30 seconds before it loses it's memory etc.
I may be wrong, but that's what I'd try.

Well, batteries in the fob are now changed and working grand
but I have a question regarding keypad PIN number change.
I have the instructions for changing the keypad pin using the
fob arm/disarm then keypad procedure but when inputting the
required code I press the * key first which the led flashes once
then when I press the first number (1) in the code sequence the
led flashes multiple times.
So following the instructions I stopped but ideally want a new pin
as I didn't get the pin with the car.
Any ideas?

I did this with my last Scoob, a MY00 classic.

Is it a UK car, I guess it must be to have this alarm and keypad. If so contact Subaru as they will have your original pin number on file. You will need to go in with proof you own the car, but as long as the previous owner did not change it you will have your PIN number.

Subaru for the pin, thought I could change it myself.
Any particular reason why the led would flash multiple times
as everyone else who has changed the pin seems to have done
it with no problems?
Think I may just try and source another fob as I only
have one with the car.

Actually, thinking about it when using the pin recode via the
fob does the immobiliser need to be disarmed?
I was using the fob to lock/unlock the door then inputting
the required code thinking that was right but think I was
doing it wrong.

What I found is that you need to be quite quick between presses, if you take too long and you get the multiple flashes and you need to start again
It took me a few go's.... But does work
