Default Fitted battery wrong way round

I've just fitted a Odyssey PC680 battery with brass terminals to my 2003 WRX and realised after the car wouldn't start that the terminals are the opposite way around to the battery I took off!

The Slow Blow main fuse is blown but is there a chance something else might be knacked?

Alternator, I'd say almost certainly.

Could be one or two fuses in the fusebox inside too.

Luckily no visible smoke or electrical smells!

Will a 95 legacy have the same fail safes?

Nope.

No sparks, bangs, smoke or smells.

Matt the easiest way to find that out is to replace the blown main fuse and chuck another battery on or your old one that you replaced the odessy with, there will no dought be a bit of power in it, try your electrics if there ok then try and turn the car over .

Got a fuse ordered from europarts, they aren't easy to find.

******* Europarts told me they'd have one in by Monday morning, but noooo!

Anyway after trying 10 car part companies and the Subaru dealership I ended up at my local scrap yard who only had one Jap car there, luckily the ****** had an 80 amp screw down slow blow PAL fuse!!!

Anyway I've fitted the fuse and the damage is.....

....Radio doesn't work

I didn't just fit the battery the wrong way around I also tried to jump start the car whilst it was still on the wrong way around!! Very lucky!
