Hi mate, I may be able to shed some light on this...

It was advertised on Facebook last month, Infact I sold my classic to buy it but once I had sold my car and got in contact with the seller he'd just sold it

It was advertised as a cat d repaired vehicle which was apparently recorded earlier this year, the guy is on facebook subaru swap shop page and his name is Philip Fitzsimmons - he will probably have the new owners details but here is the advert anyway...

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX UK TURBO

2003

89k MILES

TAXED TILL END OF MARCH 14 AND TESTED TILL FEB 14 BUT I CAN PRETTY MUCH GUARANTEE IT WILL SAIL THROUGH AN MOT AS YOU WILL SEE IF YOU VIEW THE CAR
SOME SERVICE HISTORY
LAST SERVICE INC CAM BELT WATER PUMP AND TRNSIONERS DONE AT 82K MILES
LOADS OF BILLS AND RECEIPTS
NEW BRAKES ALL ROUND 2 WEEKS AGO

STAGE 2 REMAP WITH BUILT IN LAUNCH CONTROL
UPRATED SCOTT AND BAILEY EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM TURBO BACK HEAT WRAPPED
BLITZ DUMPVALVE

TOO MUCH TO LIST NEEDS TO BE SEEN AND HEARD TO APPRECIATE IT

CAR IS LISTED AS CAT D EARLY THIS YEAR AS THE PREVIOUS OWNER CLIPPED A KURB IN SNOW AND SNAPPED THE ALLOY AND KNOCKED THE TRACKING OUT AND CLAIMED ON THE INSURANCE FOR A NEW SET OF WHEELS NOT KNOWING THEY WHERE GOING TO WRITE IT OFF HE BOUGHT THE CAR BACK AND USED THE MONEY TO FIX BOUGHT NEW WHEELS AND HAD LASER TRACKING DONE AND USED THE REST OF THE MONEY TO TUNE IT UP!!

THE CAR STARTS,RUNS AND DRIVES FAULTLESS AND NO PANELS AT ALL WHERE DAMAGED

It is nice, I only sold my classic to buy this but he unfortunately sold it the same day I took a deposit on mine.

He was asking £3000 for it.

If it's been owned by someone who associates with the Swap Shop mob and has been recorded as a Cat D I'd steer well clear of it and get a similar car in better nick.

Well you just found it!! I now own it, cost me a lot more than £3k tho..
But is probably the best WRX I've driven..!

So I've just placed an introduction thread for myself and the car and then did a search on the reg, came up trumps!

So you owned it ?? Great I'm looking for details of what it's had done etc etc .
It's got lots of service history and receipts etc but he said it was tuned and owned by a racedynamix guy?
Be nice to hear from you it's still mint and working perfect you'll be glad to hear

To be fair, it does have STi stickers which will increase the value.

Easy lads.. I'm not here for a slating.. Some of us can't afford a proper STI..

£3300 isn't bad at all for a uk wrx turbo, 89k, full sti alacantra interior, sti suspension, sti rear wing, sti scoop, full samco hose set, new tyres, new discs, Scott Bailey 3in exhaust system, Decat etc.

Why not have sti stickers on it if it looks same as an sti?

How many times have a said STI?

What's the point in chasing a high mileage CAT.d WRX for a year? Just get yourself a nice STI...
