I just read those as well. Apparently we are all deaf tennagers with I.C.E sound systems. I love a bit of generalization .

F**k me, how thick are the people that comment on there? Oh hang on they read and believe the Daily Mail, they're Grade A retards of course.

This gem is funny:

"Has it occurred to anyone that more people own a Kia than those owning a Subaru? Hence more claims? Statistics can be read to suit. Remember there are lies, more lies and statistics."

Has it occured to the moron that when the statistics are quoted as claim per 1000 owners that point is moot. Remember there are lies, more lies and ***** that can't read an article properly!

About f****** time , some positive comments about subarus and Subaru drivers. It's because the vast majority of us really care about our cars and look after them. The generalisation that we all drive like ***** and are boy racers winds me up big time, can you tell! Rant over!

''The Subaru is shedding its image of a car for pure petrol heads, and is actually being driven by older, safer drivers instead of the ‘drive it like they stole it’ younger motoring generation''

That will upset a few of the anti-subaru brigade on here.

+1 EXACTLY what caught my eye. How stupid can you be?

I'm a DM reader btw - but I don't post on there (PHEW !)

One other point, it's a pity there's no way of getting statistics of how many Subaru drivers actually prevent accidents. I can safely jink around our suicidal sheep, who regrettably have caused some tragedies over the years.

Depends if you're doing both at the same time I suppose.

I think a new bumper sticker is required.

"Subaru - blameless and claimless".

Or "Claimless not clueless".

Probably because our cars spend more time having the bottom ends rebuilt than being driven

Probably a high risk if it's both at the same time.

It's also on the Telegraph so it's not just a Daily Fail.

Couple of points to consider though,

1) how many are modded and not declared, hence can't/won't claim in an accident as they won't be covered

2) how many won't claim because their premiums the following year will be rediculous!

Point 2 would certainly be a factor for me as a relative 'youngster'. Can't see the above being much of an issue on more 'middle of the road' vehicles.

The underwriters have known this for years, so it's hardly news to us (that's why we are so cheap on the Subaru's)

I rarely see a good classic around my area, most are council estate pool cars I think?

Chances are they aren't insured anyway?

+2 me too, a thousand is a thousand. But I would never have thought that there are a thousand moggy miners driving about every day - or are there?
