Me too - running 28-29mpg average in a WRX PPP - up from 25 (according to the trip).
What model do you have?

Only difference I've noticed is I'm getting pops and bangs when decelerating now.

Over the last 2 tanks (which were the first 2 using the new fuel) I've had about 20-30 more miles per tank. I just assumed I'd been driving more carefully but maybe there is a difference if others are finding this...Interesting.

I'm no expert but if there is more MPG and I'm sure there is as i have been recording my MPG for years and this change is unprecedented then the fuel must have higher calorific value?
Could that be converted to power instead of MPG with a remap?

Allegedly more friction reducers rather than higher energy content, so no. I assume everyone is comparing Nitro+ with V-power.

Not too sure about useful, but it'd definitely be funny to see.

No more power from remapping. I had my car remapped the other week on Nitro and Meth, as opposed to VPower and Meth. Power DID increase, but the boost was increased slightly as well.
If it gave you potential for more of a bang, you would have heard about it by now.

The fuel didn't allow more boost, it was just increased as part of the mapping exercise.

Why would it give more 'pops and bangs'. I've seen a few posts on different threads where people have experienced this.
Surely pops and bangs indicate over fueling, if people are getting more mpg then that would indicate the fuel burning better.
Im confused....lol...

I have also noticed an increase in mpg over the last 2 times i filled up. Gone from 22 to 25 mpg!
But i never made it to shell, that was on esso 97 pmsl.
I dont think ive really been driving any differently either.
So go figure lol
