piston ring gap help
Hello all, The spec sheet i have with my pistons tells me to times the bore 92mm (3.6) x .0050 for the top ring and 92mm (3.6) x .0040 for the second ring, can someone convert this into mm for me as i only have a mm feeler guage and cant seem to find a convertor.
Edit i got it at 0.45mm for the top ring and 0.35mm for the second ring, does this sound correct?
The pistons are forged Mahle ones with moly coated skirts.
Thanks.

ok thanks lads, the way i originally worked it out was by 92.00x.0050 which gave me 0.46mm for the top ring and then 92.00x.0040 which gave me 0.37mm for the second ring.
However i thought this may be wrong as it was multiplying thou by mm, but turns out it was correct afterall. So is this an easier way of calculating end gaps than using the above formula assuming your working with a standard size bore?
