larger fmic=more lag?????
currently runnin 411bhp/349lbs(BLOB STI)
full 3in decatted
gt30 hybrid(standard position)
650CC injectors+fpr
japspeed fmic
will a larger aps dr 725 create more lag due to the size of it.

Harvey Smith would have told you no...and had you taken your car to him, he'd have proved it.
Mine, for example runs a 2.5 with a HS TD05 20G, and spools strongly, hitting 1 bar at under 3000rpm.

I have an aps dr725 fitted To my 2.5 running a sc gt35 billet , 2 bar of boost in 6th @ 3800 revs

I have an APS dr725 and a billet gt35 and see 1 bar of boost by 3300rpm and full boost by 3800rpm on my 2.35lt
I have had older cars running tmic and smaller turbos not equal that

In therory yes, going with a big front mount will increase lag.
However, in reality the increase will be so incredibly small you will never ever notice it. A good mapper can make all the difference.

Changed from a hybrid core to a hyperflow, if anything it spools quicker and the core is nearly double the size

Internal air flow is more important than size, a crap fmi will have crap internal structure and the air will bounce around all over. decent core will have a good internal airflow, cool better and spool better
This is why cheap ebay jobies tend to not do the job.

A hybrid core is no where good enough for your car thats why.

We are run Japspeed FMIC at 490bhp without the one problem.
I don't think you will have more lag with DR725 core,but still think Japspeed FMIC will be enough for yours needs
