thinking of buying another scooby! but need help
hi people
Well after owning another bmw i have a bug inside me to buy another Subaru. I have seen one on autotrader also appeared in swapz, the guy seems genuine and getting the car taxed next week.
I dont really know much about scoobies but just want people opinion about this one! he says its 360hp would that be achiveable from a wrx? also the after market air filter i heard they are bad as they draw in too much hot air, is that correct?
I know the car is abit over pricde as most bug now goes for around £2000 especially on an x reg.
So would you guy say this is a good buy or not, here is a link to the car

I would find out what turbo is fitted and who has mapped it as a first port of call. Just becuase he has got a print out from a rolling road he could have blown that engine up and stuck a stock one back in. Also 360bhp on a stock 5 speed box is pushing it. It would have needed a **** load of cash spent on wrx to get that sort of power. Also no mention of upgraded brakes, the brakes on my bug are **** and thats with only 215bhp. DVLA show it as a UK car so its power has gone from 215bhp to 360bhp?

I wouldn't buy it personaly. The wrx would have a td04 turbo and that would struggle
With anything over 290bhp. So that would have to been chnaged to somthing like a vf35/34 or td05 20g. With that I would say it needed the 550cc injectors To match or at least a fuel regulator. Fuel pump would need upgrading. Have the brakes been done to match? 360bhp in a wrx gearbox when its been dragged would at least add pressure to oem parts. Personaly there are so many nicer subarus about

By the description It seems to have had a rebuild.depending on which turbo is on the car 360bhp should be easily achievable.wheather the 5 speed box can handle it is another question the question you really need to ask yourself is,is this someone you can trust and if anybody knows the car, maybe he was a member of one of the numerous Subaru clubs out there try and do some more research if you really interested about the car.has he got any contact details phone number etc...
