hi my scooby impreza 2000 its not boosting.. i got the td0520g on the car but im planning to go to stander turbo..so whic turbo its ideal for the car...need help..thanks

 

Need more info on the car mate, other mods, what model car, is it mapped already for mods etc

 

no it not been mapped before...was my plan to get it mapp but just realise its not boosting..i get the car like what is now.. the former keeper said it got lots mods but after few days i realise it wont have what he said..the mods i thing its just the upgrated turbo..upgrated air filter..front mount intercooler...bailey dum valve..

 

Td05 20g with no map, I'm not surprised its not boosting, you may have other problems too

 

dont realy now what the problem is...my mecanic just put the boost gauge strait to westegate and the gauge not even move when reving and he took it for a drive and still dint boost atall..

 

Have you checked all the pipe work for leaks?

 

no leaks....can any tell me what the original turbo that goes on my car...

Whats the highest boost you are seeing ? Also whats the minus reading on idle ?

 

the boost wont pass the 0 psi when im driving it....its idling just below 1000rpm...the car its impreza turbo awd year 1997

 

Im no expert on classic's but as far as i know if it's a uk/european car it should have a td04 turbo fitted.

 

ok..thanks ya its uk car...as far i know it 100%have a td05 20g turbo on the car.....and want to replace it to go back to original turbo it i just dont realy know whats the original..but i been told the turbo i need its td04 but just want to confirmed wiv same one that knows

 

When the car is idling, what is the boost gauge reading? It should be a minus figure.

 

Do you know where the TD05 20g came from? ie Harvey or AF?
