As title really, have a few chips on a 230 white classic, now its not metallic so is it worth going the chipsaway route, prob be about £100 id guess, or is it just as easy to get a touch up pen with a fine brush and do it myself ?
as i have never used chipsaway, dont know how good they are, so, are they top notch or can i do as good ? 9i know it depends on how good i am, but i`m not that bad LOL)
cheers

depends where you are in the country, as they are franchises some are excellent , there are different companys out there today that do the same line of work , scratch and dent specialists are plentifull today, most dealerships have them in house try askin at your local scooby dealership and ask to see work already done,ie on the forecourt,

cheers for input guys.
They are only small chips, about 7 of them and i have a couple of small scratches on the rear bumper down to the plastic
Its not really enough to warrant a respray of the areas etc, so maybe, i`ll try a touch up pot with a fine brush, the missus has some very fine eye liner ones that look ideal :-)

So,ive been having a look and you can get either the brush type pots or a pen type
Theres not alot of places i can find that do this, anyone have any links to any guys who can mix/make the pens etc ?
I was thinking a pen type one would be better as it has a fat nib (LOL) and seems just like what id need
anyone used a pen type touch up rather than a brush type ?
But being single pack, is it any good, better than cellulose ?

Brush touch up paint is the best as you can paint the area more neatly. The pen types with nibs, tend to make a mess of the chips / scratches.
Halfords will correctly mix the paint, using your cars paint code.

Chipsaway did my roof gutters. They needed doing after removing those horrible brown plastic wind deflector things.
At first I thought the chap did a great job... But upon closer inspection, he didn't use any filler over the pockmarks - he just painted over the top! So there's this awful orange peel finish. That said, it's hard to see, given the area of the car it's on - if it wasn't your car, you wouldn't be aware. And it's a lot better then having the deflectors on. Plus, white helps disguise it.
So for small minor chips and things, esp. on bumpers - and so long as the quote is small enough - then I'd consider them.
But for anything more obvious/large areas, NO WAY!

o.k guys, cheers.
I dont have alot of options, the work required woulndt be in a bodyshops interest to do,cost wise, so i guess its the touch up pen/brush, but its 1 pack, is that o.k ?
Not really sure what the differences are between cellulose/2 pac and 1 pac as in lasting time etc, obviously 2 pac is better as it has a hardner but frowned upon, but thats body shop stuff, cellulose is spray can form so what is 1 pac ?
cheers
