Default £0 fix on engine issues!

only had my V4 impreza one month and already replaced all the front engine sensors due to so called specialist advise only to still have the check engine light on.... So yesterday i removed the blanked off bonnet vent plate to let more engine heat out then drove car for 60 miles and the engine light hasnt come on once since! I wonder how many others have parted with their cash because of bad advice from certain garages that make alot of money from performance car owners!

As someone of many years experience of Subaru Imprezas, I'd remain open minded to the possibilities of red herrings

I have now taken my whole bonnet off, car runs like a dream and no fault codes either.

Thanks, you must have saved me a fortune

Vent removal has removed a CEL - seriously? If that is true then your car has bigger issues!

**** it, I might just sell my Subaru and get a horse. They don't even have an ECU.

They do though, see picture below, quite difficult to replace though when it goes wrong but at least you can recycle your transportation into glue
