IMO ds2500 or the newer Brembo HP Sport pads are far superior and if its arduous track work then z-rated PF (or 01, etc. for the more aggressive)................

Im not happy with the blue stuff either, had them fade too many times on the road, very inconsistent feel to the pedal, despite my brakes being checked, I know of a few others that dont like them either.
I have heard good things about Carbotech and Pagid Rs4 or something like that.
All I know is the EBC's will be going in the bin soon.

Im the other way about. Dont like ds2500 i found they just leave deposits and end up cleaning discs periodically to get rid of judder. No such problems with the blue and i wasnt a fan of ebc after trying the reds quite a number of years ago.

Got a set of very little used DS2500's (For Brembo's) here if anyone is interested. Fronts have 8.5mm and rears 9mm Absolutely flat, no ridges as they were installed along with new discs. Only changed as I had the chance of trying Bluestuff NDX which, for road use at least (havent tried them on track as yet) I prefer.
As near as damn it, new pads for half the money!

You sure thats the pad mate? Not a nice feeling not secure with your brakes. I was running by Blues on Ian's two piece discs and got them to glow red in the dark with no issues. Are you driving an STi or a WRX?

STi should have no issues, i know a few folks had problems with the WRX calipers. Andy Freeman, the guy that owns EBC is on here from time to time, search his profile and mail him. I am sure he can work things out.

i had tried both and my opinions are-
ds2500s are great but i feel at cold temp they are a bit poor until warmed up, and i felt i have to stamp on pedal hard when driving hard to get a good response
-ndxs are good cold and warm, instant feel from pads and DONT have to stamp on pedal as hard to get a reaction, instant bite just from a light push.
not used on track though.
pagids or pf are the next pads for me to try me thinks
p.s im using 335 2 piece discs on oe 4 pots

Was driving STI with same discs (new) and got severe shudder that was setting the ABS off at Snetterton.
Personally I found the PF-Z compound setup much better for track, but no good from cold, which became a bit of a PITA when I started driving an MR2 as second car. The MR2 being a bit more hair-dresser in setup, if you take my (non-PC) meaning.

I went from DS2500 to Bluestuff and found the DS much better. From cold I would say very similar but the pedal feel with the DS is much better.
The thing that is really getting on my nerves is the deposits the Bluestuff leaves on the wheels. With the DS I could go a couple of weeks without washing the wheels and the dust would come off no problem. The Bluestuff even if cleaned every week they still stain my alloys and I have to get the wheels off to clean them properly then wax them again.
I have used DS2500 on my last three cars, should have stuck with what I knew.
