Default Short Shifters - Are They Any Good

Hi All,

Just thinking about getting one but not sure if they are any good, I find the box on the Scoob a little notchy and was wondering if a quick shifter/short shifter would smooth it out at all.

Thoughts?

They are good. But I have heard that some can beat the box, not sure myself.

But fitted mine and found it a lot better. CDF racing is the one I have, good quality. I do buy a eBay one, was ok but rattled a bit.

Sorry couldnt help more though.

I had one fitted to my last Forester.

Made a rake of difference & other cars noticed it too

I had Prodrive Quickshift on my RB5 and now have one on my 2006 Sti.I In my opinion it makes the car even more special to drive. More "Rally Car" feel, very happy with mine and next car will do the same.

However, i doubt it will fix your "notchy" problem. May make it feel more notchy in fact.

Is this for a 6 speed box? Would you know where to get the Prodrive shifter from?

You won't get any more Prodrive parts unless the dealer has stuff lying around.

Best bet is to look up Pro-R and see if they do them
