Default Had my first Remap today! what do you guys think?

Hi everyone,

I had my first ecutek remap today at powerstation very pleased with the results..

She made 321/280

I have a 2003 WRX.. Fitted with a VF34, STi pinks, STi TMIC, Full Decat Inc Up Pipe, K&N Panel Filter, Harveys 3 ports and Ecuteked on Tescos Momentum.

Must say its a hell of a difference! Very very happy with it very fast too

Thanks jamie

Hey Jamie, best feeling isnt it? Every time you plant your foot it makes you smile.

I had that feeling twice, because I had my car mapped 4 days before I went away to Afghanistan, so when I came back it was like a new car again!

Enjoy mate!

I did wonder that as I've seen people mention like 330/330.

But Powerstation were happy with the results and very happy with the graph that was produced! So not to sure.. Any reason why its lower than expected?

They are good number, the 2.5s have numbers like that, the 2L are just like yours

I hope to have the feeling in the new year only going for stage 1 though so will be happy with around 270.

Was it completely standard before you mapped it?

Yes it was standard, other than it had the PPP kit.
Its a massive difference I had a 255bhp classic before but this is unreal chucks you right back into your seat! What mods are planning Berks-Jack?

That does seam low to me. I'm not doubting powerstation as they've done work on mine before and they seem good guys.

I know the 2.5's are torque'er than the 2lt but I hit 330/380. This was a reliable RR as on another RR i even got 330/395

Those figures seem low to me, especially on a 34 with de-cats.

I would have expected to see 330/300 so i'd be a bit gutted with that torque figure, especially as you have all the ingredients there apart from an FMIC.

Mine made 336/300 with a VF35, standard injectors, walbro, FMIC, sports cat down pipe, standard up pipe, 2 port and full induction kit so you should have made around the same with your mods and top mount.

If you're happy with how it drives then thats the main thing, but considering your mods i'd be looking for more.

They wasn't to impressed with the 3 port! Said its poor quality so he had to work round it.. So I may save up get a decent one and a front mount intercooler but that may not be for a while yet

To be honest mate, as long as you're happy, thats all that matters. Plus, look at this as a stepping stone as you will be wanting more power soon and your mapper will become your best mate.

I need a clubcard with Duncan

Quite a big jump then (circa 60bhp), how long did it take for you to stop smiling after you stopped driving?? . Sounds good, I didn't realise how lazy my car felt until I went in my mates bugeye wrx which is running close to 330bhp!

Mine is standard at the moment, so hoping to get close to 270. I just need to get a decat downpipe. I've already got a 2nd decat, an afterburner centre section (thanks Myles ) and prodrive backbox, Cosworth panel filter and colder (NGK 7) plugs.

Generally speaking, Powerstation's dyno is considered to read "low" on torque figures, but seem quite accurate for power.

Looks like a safe and effective map for a UK 2 litre blob with mods

You can drive the car like it should have left the factory without worrying the engine / drivechain etc..

Mapping can errode the safety margin quite a bit but if the VF series is mapped to the limit then WRX things can break LOL

The WRX 4 pots are pretty good and all you need are a good set of disks/pads /hoses / etc.......Godspeed Kevlar pads and disks should see you right
