Cool

Purely Fictional but :-
You are invited as a special guest to an Evo
special day out [ I wish].

On the Tarmac of an old airfield ready to ramp are the following cars:-

1 BMW M3 E36 Evo
2 Mitsubishi EVO 6
3 Toyota Celica GT-Four
4 Lotus Elise
5 Honda Accord Type R
6 Subaru Impreza 2000 standard car

You get two choices out of the 6 cars, your first choice of car will give you the opportunity to ramp the guts out of it around the airfield.
Your second choice of car you get to keep.

Be honest unbiased and make your choices !!!
But prove your case as to why your choices are the best.

Muppets PLEASE behave !!

Go on get your fingers bashing the keyboard and argue your case,if you don't then you concede that you own a Reliant Robin and belong to the local group of the WI. !!

All for Fun

Wink

Thrash the EVO 6 and keep the M3.

Actually I would thrash any of them except the M3 but I would only keep the M3.

The reason : I would sell the M3 straight away and buy a 22B and keep the change .

Not the answer you wanted I bet

cheers

chrisp

Actually if you are looking for a sensible answer :

EVO 6 would be good for a blast round an airfield

Celica - too old and out of date, good in its day

Elise - great track car shame I am too big to get in one

Honda - great vtec engine but you couldnt live with revving to 10K everyday

Impreza - I guess you mean UK standard - been there done that

M3 - well screwed together but very expensive

So it comes down to EVO 6 or M3. Yep as my first post thrash the EVO and keep the M3. Hang on though I am not keen on BMWs

can you add 7. Your current car .

cheers

Well there is a lack of choice because of a couple of red herring here but I'm with the Evo 6/M3 combo as well. Don't really want a BMW but I couldn't live with the 46 litre (assuming it is same as evo 7) fuel tank in Evo 6, I'd be fillin gup every day !

So thrash the Evo 6 and take the beemer home. Shame there was no 911 turbo or skyline r34 really!!!

I'd have the Toyota GT4 home with me provided it was an ST205. For it's looks, performance and build quality.

Trash the M3 or EVO6; M3 massive blue smoke, EVO5: sideways.

It'd have to be the Accord R to rag round the airfield, its not the fastest I know but....the v tech sounds awesome when in full swing and bearing in mind its an airfield theres no real value in having 4wd on a straight line (IMHO....and ducking for cover ). I'd take the Evo 6 back as there isn't too many of them about on the roads in comparison to the others......

Nath

PS: I'd like them all but I cant

Accord type R until the front tyres melted, then drive the M3 home and flog it to some punter.

Thrash the Accord.... (you can do this on the Johnathon Palmer days...and believe me it is the most fun you can have on a track.....) and then take the M3 home..power, grace, comfort and an engine that can go on for ever..............

Exclamation

Already driven three Elises, including the one I had sideways across the hairpin at Mallory Park, looking which way I was going out the side window, with Rob Gray the instructor next to me (got it all gathered up and was marked 89/100 for this - but got 97/100 for the Tyrrell F1 car I drove after - now that was fun.... )

OK, bragging over.....

Would thrash the BM and take the EVO6 home (cos already got 2 x MY00 Scoobs in the garage )

Question

Its interesting to see some of the replies.......what if it could be different cars or what cars would some folk want instead of?

So your choice of combination would be? (price not an issue)

I'd thrash the EVO because I've never driven one. I'd take the Elise home because it's the best car there for pure fun. I've owned one before and hope to have a new one soon. Wouldn't pick the Scooby coz I've already got one.

Cool

I think I'd thrash the Impreza....
have one already so would be nice to drive the ***** out of one..

and take either the Elise and keep it as a weekend car (if I had a spare 20k to waste I'd have one already). Or take the M3 and sell it for an Elise... and keep the change......

I really really really want an Elise.. I am waiting for the R reg to be like very cheap and sell my fireblade and buy one...
