First Scooby - Advice
Guys,
Ill keep this short and sweet. About to buy my first scoob STI as a second car.
Looking for a blob eye as I like bugs but some seem to be getting a bit old and the tidy ones are the same price as blobs.
After maybe a WR1, but have seen this....
What do you think.

Hi Tony,
up to around 9 k for the right car. After my fail as seen above I have been to see a few now from a 5 k bug eye sti that was awful, to this shown below last weekend.
http://www.holdcroft.com/PK54LXC/
its for a second car as some fun, over the winter as I live in the middle of nowhere and also I have a eco run around for daily, so I have always wanted a scoob so now is the time.
I have ruled out hawks due to the engine "issues" and think that if I am getting a blob, I might aswell get one with DCCD if possible. I want it running around 300 ish brake, PPP, and as a brucey bonus want the noise, the dump sound and poss gauges, however getting the right car first is the main thing, they are more like icing on the cake.
what do you reckon?
does the car look alright? I have spoken with my uncle and against glass book its around 2k over book, but they all seem to be to a certain extent. I made an offer last week, but I think they are holding out or its sold.

The silver one in http://www.holdcroft.com/PK54LXC/ looks good but there's no mention of service history at all. Best to take it for a test drive and then make an offer you thinks realistic or willing to pay. Make sure it has a full service history with all the stamps and paperwork. If not walk away. Plenty more round the corner
Ps nowt wrong with us hawkeye boys and girls Seriously a lot of what you hear is scaremongering and plenty of issues with the earlier and even the latest models. You can pick up a hawkeye WRX for 8-9k but personally I think you're right holding out and spending the same money on a blob STI instead of a newer WRX as the STI offers a better tuning platform out the box. Good luck with your search.
