Default Surprised by quick Corsa!

Just came across one on the way to work, nothing special looking Corsa C, foot to the floor and this thing was on my bumper!

Pullled over and wound the window down and asked the lad what he had in it and he said it was a 2.0 turbo running 290BHP.
It seemed quite a bit faster than the old 1.8 SRi I used to own, put it that way.

We had a tatty L reg Mark 2 Corsa pop in the other day for a chat, it sounded a bit odd when it drove in to the industrial estate so I went for a peak.
Popped the hood and found a 3 litre Vectra V6 lump in it

There were some very standard looking Nissan Micra's at the pod the other week that sounded a bit tasty. Got talking to one chap and was told it was a 1.3 micra engine with a turbo fitted. 230BHP !!!!

I do love the idea of a crappy car with lots of power. My first car infact was a beaten up old citroen BX. It was the 16 valve model so had 162bhp out of the box. Looked an absolute heap but went like a stabbed rat, had some fun in that old thing.

there's a kid round our way runs a Volvo 343,lowered,wide wheels, big exhaust.Never seen it speeding so don't know if it's a sleeper. Now that is different! You do have to admire some people.Puts a smile on my face every time I see it.

C20LET - the engine that comes out of the Calibra and Cav Turbos

290bhp is good phase 2 mapping (I had my Cally turbo running just less than this) - they'll have about the same torque figure (280-300ft/lbs)

It was the main reason why I NEVER EVER took up an offer from any clapped out Nova or Corsa, I just knew they were hiding the same damn' engine under the bonnet of a much lighter car

I had a Nova Gsi with a c20xe in it

Always wanted one with the c20LET in though, but valued my life a little but more lol
