I recently brought a 2005 wrx impreza and it's my first ever Subaru I brought it from a garage and they didn't really know much about the car I just sold my mk1 focus rs and had a full st/st exhaust k&n gen11 induction kit and a bluefin superchip and my Subaru feels like it would eat my rs for breakfast and it only has a st/st exhaust that I can see is there any signs to look for or things to say it's been remapped??? No it's just st/st cat back with a burnt blue end??? No idea what it is

Sounds like an afterburner vortex BB, any idea if its de-catted? open bonnet and see if downpipe from turbo has been done.

open the airbox to see if the panel filter has been upgraded? not a sign of a remap but may give an idea if any cash has been spent on the car

it should eat your rs for breakfast even without a remap,just take it to your local tuners it doesnt even have to go on the rollers they,l just plug it in and tell you there and then

Im not convinced of that, The rs will be producing around 260 bhp, and being 2wd will have better in gear acceleration, especially against a 225bhp impreza. The best way to check if its been interfered with would be to use a boost gauge. 14psi is standard, any more has been re-mapped
