Default Spec C yellow light and Gulf petrol

How long do you have when the yellow light comes on in a Spec C? (blob eye)

My local Shell has converted into a ****ing Gulf! I guess that means no more V-power!

The car was mapped for V-power, anyone know what octain Gulf uses?

Cheers.

last time i put octane booster in, my car went into some diminished power state. the boost was low power until i reset the ECU. not putting that crap in again.

i see Gulf has an endurance fuel which is 102 ron. i guess i could use that?

V-power was only 99 i think, will there be any problems?

Walter, you're not in Lanark, South Lanarkshire by chance are you? Local Shell there just switched to Gulf too...

just got an email back from Gulf.

the Endurance at the pump is 97 ron

102 is for at Silverstone.

seems Gulf have an expansion program going on from what he said... may be hard to find V-power in certain areas!

will the ECU go into limp mode with 97?

Shell V Power and Tesco Momentum 99 are the only two true 99 RON fuels available in the UK as far as I'm aware. All the rest, BP, Esso etc. are 98 or below.
