Help with For Sale ad. What am I doing wrong?
Hi everyone,
With heavy heart I have put my Impreza up for sale. I would have thought I would have had loads of interest for the following reasons:
1) It's one of only 300 made so not that many for sale at any one time.
2) It's one of the cheapest for sale anywhere.
3) It has full Subaru history and remaining Subaru warranty.
So no replies after nearly a week. What am I doing wrong??!!
Any help gratefully received!!!

Mileage is quite high which may put off a few, now I'm only guessing but COULD potential buyers be seeing the 'Spec D' be getting it confused with 'Cat D'.
Maybe try putting (NOT CAT D) after the Spec D in the title.
Something stupid but you never know!!

I think you are being a little impatient in the current economic climate. Some people are waiting weeks/months before they get a bite. Is this the only place you have it advertised? Look for places that will give you free advertising and get it advertised in as many places as possible. http://www.subaru4you.co.uk/forsale/forsale.shtml will give free advertising for any of their customers that decide to sell their car so if you have had any work done there send them an email with some pictures. Also try some of the free ad places (use search engine to find them).
Suggest remove the 158mph, 0-60 in 5 seconds from your advert as buyers will think you have ragged the car or put in something to the effect that you have not tried this yourself but this is taken from the specs.
Good luck with the sale.

bluesntwos1 – I’d suggest “Spec Discrete” in the title as well as or rather than Spec D.
