What would you do??
I posted a bonnet on the 23rd, took pics before I posted, all fine.
It arrived today with the buyer like this
Now its obvious what has happened, theres only one way a bonnet can get damaged like this.
Obviously the buyer complained, so I phoned the courier who said they didnt insure valuable panels like this so there was nothing they could do.
PAISLEY FREIGHT
just so you all know for future reference.
Anyway, I offered a full refund by the guy was so desperate for a bonnet he said he would get it fixed if I refunded half the cash which I did immediately. The buyer was a complete star by the way, totally agreed with me what had happened and in now way blamed my for sending dodgy goods.
Now, I posted a door with the same order.
That buyer has now emailed saying its the wrong door!!! Its a bugeye he has!!
He says he got my number from a mate, phoned me last week asking if I had a drivers door, which I had, he paid, I posted, now its the wrong one and wants to know if he can return it for a refund??
I'm only breaking 1 car so I presumed he knew it was a 2000 car. He only asked for the paint code which I gave him, 95h, and he was happy with that.
Would you refund him?
Its not my fault and if I refund him, whats to say the door doesnt come back in the same state the bonnet is in

The friendly thing to do would be to accept the return for partial refund minus original postage on the provision it arrives in the condition it was sent. Leaving the liability with the buyer should the carrier damage the goods in transit. If it comes back tidy refund minus costs isn't a big deal in the scheme of things

He would now have two bonnets, one fine that he could get put on, and the other bent but with £60 towards getting it fixed and then selling it on to recoup the £60.
Hopefully that isn't the case though...

^^ If he was trying to rip you off, this would be the easiest way (and you did say he refused a full refund which would have been useless to him)...

Hmm think that might be the case. I offered a full refund and would pay to get the bonnet back to me with the hopes of selling the scoop and vents to get something out of it but he said a mate was coming to have a look at it.
Obviously if he sent me the damaged one, I'd know by looking at it if it was the one I sent.

as for the bonnet its up to you
the door as said refund him less the postage and he pays to return
i get fed up with selling stuff and people not reading the discription right
even had issues on here
example
sold 2 blue harness's
advert was just pictures and discription was just 2 x harness's
buyer then complained that they wasnt new
no where in my discription did i put condition nor did he ask
collection only in future buying and selling
