Default VVC heads on non VVC cars anyone?

Would it be possible to use STi VVC heads from newage cars on non VVC cars like a STi 3 whilst retaining the original inlet manifold? I am not 100% certain but I've heard there is some sort of an adaptor which can be used & Simon at (JGM) is doing a system in order for this to work?

Also, what management system would support this & are there any disadvantages?

Bolt pattern is different. As you're changing that much wiring I'd go with the newage manifold. Simon has just done this very conversion on my car. Would highly recommend him and a Syvecs ECU

Thats what i was thinking as the bolt pattern is different but I've heard you can use an adapter plate or something & this will allow you to use the existing manifold?

If i used the newage mani what sort of wiring work would be required & would Simtek be compatible with the setup?

I looked at using AVCS heads on my newage WRX and it needs some very clever trickery to wire the TGV loom into the AVCS.

Now looking for some STi 5/5 heads

I thought the Ver 3 Sti heads had some of the "hottest" cams subaru decided to use ?

I intended to use ported & polished STi 3 heads & cams etc but i have no experience in regards to how well they will help a twisted GT30 on a forged 2.0l at 500ish? Therefore i have decided to do some investigation about the AVCS conversion

AFAIK you will need a new age inlet fannymould, the Simtec is not compatible with AVCS on classics.

Snigger!

yes there is additinal wiring involved as the heads have sensors/adaptors? which need to be spliced into the loom, where abouts in the loom **** knows

I have a set of AVCS heads off a JDM STI complete with all the sensors and pulleys, gaskets, cams, turbo oil and water feed etc. and the engine wiring loom. PM me if interested.
