Default how much for my bug

hi... thinking of selling my bug.... world rally blue... recent 600 quid service.... cambelt.. plugs... oil... etc... new ebc yellow stuff pads and disks. just been fitted with a new alpine d/din head unit and sub along with a new carbon fibre bonnet... the car does not have a mark or ding on it. one of the finest examples u will see... oil changed every 3000 miles.... she has just touched 30000 altogether.... guy i bought it off used it just for the summer... had a guy come to pick my old bonnet up last week and he just could not believe the standard it was in... even undernaeth the car looks brand new... the diff and exhaust etc is free of grime and mud.... looking around the £7500 to £8000 region... could i get it... its the sti prodrive pack with full service history.....

It's a bug so MY02 Sti (unless an import) so It's 8 years old and we have now had the Blob / Hawk / Hatch and the brand new saloon.

Mods don't add much and nor does the PPP. If it was a WRX then I'd think £4500-£5000 on a very good day and £1000-£1500 more for the STi.....still on a good day with the buyer willing to pay.

All IMHO

IF its an Bugeye Prodrive STI then they range in 2nd hand value from 5500 to 7000 - maybe a bit more if its exceptional but then you are into blob STI money.

You'll probably get no interest at 8 and quite a bit at 7. Depends how quick you want it sold.

6.5 - 7 is what I'd consider paying for a minty mint Prodrive STI (but I'd like a black one)

I recently saw 2 Blue STI Bugs going for under £5k unbelievable really. My mate can't shift his 350/350 White JDM bug [£7k] which are rare cars.
I think £6k is around the correct price. A look on PH and the usual places will indicate the going rate.

It's not a "Prodrive Sti" ........It's a WRX STi Type UK with PPP. The "Prodrive Style" STi is worth more, especially the Black one as they only made 100

Mileage is on your side however I have just landed myself a Bugeye WRX estate for £5000 at a dealership with 74k on the clock, completely unmodified, excellent condition in and out, I've been over it with a fine tooth combe and I could only find 2 or 3 stone chips (previous owner's son worked at the garage body shop) so do I think 7.5 is a little unreasonable, probably not if it is in as good a condition as you say it is how ever I think youre looking more towards trade/dealership pricing.

I think you have about the right price but will realise mid 6 just beneath maybe but GLWTS. Im looking at the moment for either a bug STI or blob STI but think I may hold out as with blob STI around the 7.5k alot of people may spend that little bit more.

Still chuck up a link when done or some pics as sure plenty will be interested as sounds a very tidy car!

if the car is in that good a condition as you say make sure the pics in the add reflect this!! Also make sure the add is well scripted and informative with full s/h details. A member on here just sold his bug for 7.5k and it was also mint. In his add he managed to get across the fact that it was a well pampered car here's his add as a example-

LJF

That add is for a Prodrive style........... worth much more than a standard STi (see post 5).

Good example of how to sell a car though, well spotted

the ad is great. mine is in exactly the same condition.. better with my carbon bonnet i think... its exactly the same as mine.. blue dials. everything... my log book states subaru impreza wrx sti prodrive. midlife explain... mine is the prodrive style.... even my engine is cleaner than the one in the add...
